Antique Your Silver Jewelry Organically - Designers Go GREEN!

I always find the simple things in life FASCINATING.
As an artist/designer, I'm exposed to horrible chemicals here & there. So when I find a "non-toxic" way to do something, I'll usually use it!

Did you know that you can use a hard boiled egg to antique & tarnish your silver jewelry?

HERE'S HOW:
1. Boil some eggs
2. Cut 1 or 2 eggs in quarters
3. Place in short Tupperware
4. Add a few pieces of clean silver (soap & warm water to remove oils & dirt) & cover
5. Wait a hour (or so) & see if you like the shade

You can always microwave the eggs to reheat them & add the silver again to get an even darker look. The sulfur from the heated eggs is the trick. No need to smash the eggs on the silver, BTW.

Clean, Scrub, Polish... & Wallah!!!
